If you donate $777 you earn what is called’ Founder Status’ with The Wild Horse Refuge near Craig, CO and the Wild Animal Refuge near Springfield, CO. With this status you are invited twice a year to visit on ‘Founders Days’. We over time earned this status with our donations from events.

 

We visited The Wild Animal Refuge The Wild Animal Refuge in October 2025, taking our step granddaughter Ally with us to work our cameras out and to behold the captive wildlife that Pat and Monica Craig have rescued from difficult situations. These Lions, Tigers, Bears, and more now live wild and free in peaceful bliss. Rocky the tiger was a perfect model for us, posing so majestically!

 

Watching our step grand daughter’s face light up with amazement was priceless! When you go to Founders Day, they provide free lunch and snacks, merchandise, and there are plenty of volunteers around to tell the stories of these rescued animals.
